Montreal Fashion Features
Fashion and seasons have a great synergy, especially the autumn and winter trends. I often tell clients that seasonal changes always affect how our skin and hair, look and feel. Much like a once beautiful sweater; your skin cannot be fixed to look new again, once it has had too much wear and tear.
It may be getting colder, but things are heating up in Montreal with the opening of the very seductive lingerie line, Agent Provocateur at Holt Renfrew. This is the second store to open up in all of Canada this year, with its first on the west coast in Vancouver. Despite it being located in a very tiny section of Holt Renfrew, the London-based brand Agent Provocateur lives up to its name. The opening event was a good turnout, as intrigued guests browsed around, cranberry cocktail in hand.
If you are a fan of Dr.Oz, you may have seen or heard about the shows in which he plugs the weight management benefits of green coffee bean (GCB). It all started last summer when he did a study of 100 overweight women on diets, trying to loose weight. Over a 2 weeks trial, half were given a placebo and the other half were given a 400 mg of GCB three times a day a half hour before each meal.
I've profiled Michael a few times before, because I recognized his drive and his determination to bring his design dreams to life. So I was looking forward to see Michael Eardley launch his new Collection with REBIRTH ONE S/S 2013. Held at the very trendy Wunderbar at W Hotel in the heart of Montreal, the event drew many fashion lovers and turned out to be a success for this emerging designer.
While September is known for being the hottest month in fashion capitals around the world, Montrealers have recently been joining in on the fun too. After Montreal Fashion Week held at its new location L'Arsenal early in the month, and the inaugural Fashion's Night Out in Old Montreal, it was time for the city's first fashion mob. Or, "flashion mob", as designer Ralph Leroy rightfully called it so, in reference to the original flash mobs that have been popping up in major cities since the early 2000's.
