Old Navy Holiday ‘10 Collection

b-Living

I’m not a stylist. I don't even care about fads. I see something in a window store or in a magazine, and I pass judgment or I adopt, but I never follow trends. I know what I like and it’s always worked for me. In fact, I much prefer to break the rules and play devil’s advocate. I’m extremely opinionated, which seems to carry quite a lot of networking power, but I didn’t study fashion, design, or even arts for that matter. I’m a pure marketer-editor who just happens to be a clothes whore and a glamourous rock n’ roller.

The Twitter Effect: Follower 2 - July 20 - KoKo

b-Living

It may sound strange that for this second week of Twitter Effect, I choose to talk about a follower that is already so well known, it has become an establishment in Montreal. I mean after all, this column is meant to uncover our city’s hidden gems. Yet, while it may be true that it no longer needs our backing to become one of the city’s trademark happening spots, I think that because the place embodies the very essence of Montreal, it’s important to be reminded that it’s there and that we need to take good care of it if we want to ensure it remains alive and well.

The Twitter Effect: Follower 1 - July 4 - LCMR

Twitter, to me, contains a gold mine of information. I could even go so far as to say that it’s where my professional life unfolds, day after day. Every minute – and sometimes every second – the beeping sound of TweetDeck alerts me to a new blogpost, newsflash or random tweeple thought. I adore it. It gives me the pulse of the people who matter to my work here. That is not to say that those I don’t follow don’t matter, but maybe just that I don’t know they exist in this virtual world. And sometimes, it’s a matter of having the time to read everyone.

Model Sizes: An Objective Look at Skinny

b-Living

Most women care about their physical appearances. Across developed countries, and in North America especially, dieting has become a norm among women, although recently the fad seems to have given way to “healthy eating.” Yet, a close look at the issue has you understand that no matter what you call it, it’s one and the same: whether you’re dieting, restricting, healthy eating or watching your portions, you’re still depriving yourself or avoiding your sugary/fatty cravings at all costs.

Have you ever looked for that perfect dress for that special evening, and ended up settling for whatever you found in your usual stops?

Fashion Steals: When it’s too good to be authentic…

b-Living

In today’s modern economy, any one of us can find the goods we want, at (almost) the price we wish to pay. It does take some effort though and one must never forget that nothing comes for free.

A typical Louis Vuitton bag doesn’t retail for $100. That's a fact. Actually, you’ll never find an authentic, new Louis Vuitton at a discount. Pre-owned maybe, but not new. What's more, Louis Vuitton does not sell defective pieces.

Très Chic - Styling, Bargains and More

b-Living

Many women, including myself, dress according to their mood, which often serves to explain why we can never, during our morning routine, pick one outfit and stick with it. It’s all relative to our state of mind, and we all know that our mind is an ever-changing component of our lives.

So what happens when you’re 20 kilometers from home and you suddenly realize you no longer feel your style du jour?
